3-Step Quick Deployment Guide

No installer or administrator rights required. Runs on corporate laptops out-of-the-box.

STEP 01

Extract Package

Right-click the downloaded LedgerMatch-v0.1.16-Standalone.zip and extract to any local folder (e.g. C:\LedgerMatch\ or your local desktop). For instructions on updating an existing installation without losing custom templates or workflow tags, see the Upgrade Guide.

STEP 02

Launch Engine

Double-click Launch LedgerMatch.bat. This boots the isolated loopback service and opens LedgerMatch in your default browser.

Reconcile Offline

Disconnect Wi-Fi or VPN if required by internal security policy. Drop AR & GL files directly into the cockpit to reconcile in local memory.

Deployment & Upgrade FAQ

Common operational questions regarding enterprise airgap releases and updates.

How do I upgrade to a newer LedgerMatch release?

Extract the new package beside your existing folder (never overwrite or merge files). Since workflow tags, saved projects, and custom templates are stored in your local browser storage at http://127.0.0.1:8477, all your data carries over automatically. Follow the step-by-step instructions in the User Guide — Section 13: Upgrading to a newer version.

Will upgrading delete my custom templates or reviewer exception statuses?

No. Your custom column templates, exception statuses, and period baselines persist safely in your laptop's browser IndexedDB storage and remain intact across version upgrades. For extra peace of mind, you can also export your custom templates as JSON before upgrading.

Can multiple versions run simultaneously?

Only one instance can bind to loopback port 8477 at a time. Close the running PowerShell window of the older build before launching the new version.
